Suicide bomb attack on election rally leaves 13 dead in Afghanistan

AT LEAST 13 people were killed and more than 30 injured yesterday when a suicide bomber targeted an election rally in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.

It was the first attack since campaigning for October’s parliamentary elections began on Friday.

Supporters of parliamentary candidate Abdel Naser Momand had gathered at the rally in Kama district when the suicide bomber struck.
