THE Communist Party of Britain (CP) celebrated substantial growth in size and influence in the labour and progressive movements at its recent congress.
Last weekend’s 56th congress was attended by around 150 voting and consultative delegates, representing a CP membership that has risen by almost two-thirds to more than 1,200 since the previous congress in 2018.
The congress also saw many more younger delegates than previously, in part because of the progress being made by the Young Communist League.
