Domestic abuse victims urged to seek help following England’s Euro 2020 final loss
VICTIMS of domestic abuse have been urged to contact charities for support following England’s loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 final last night.
Women’s Aid and Refuge said that the number of reported domestic abuse cases tends to rise after football matches are aired.
Research from the London School of Economics found that abuse tends to increase in the aftermath of a game, peaking between 10 and 12 hours later.
