Father of teenager who took her own life backs Labour's online harms consultation and urges ministers to act

A MAN whose daughter took her own life after viewing self-harm content on social media is backing Labour’s consultation on tackling online harms that was launched today.

Ian Russell’s daughter Molly was 14 when she killed herself in 2017. 

After her death, the family found that she had viewed graphic images on Instagram, owned by Facebook, that encouraged suicide.
