FOOD organisations partnered up to serve the NHS across Britain today, co-ordinating the provision of hot meals to critical-care workers.
FeedNHS, Mealforce, Feed our Frontline and BaxterStorey will be providing 25,000 hot meals a day to 55 hospitals in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with the aim of expanding to Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton and Cardiff.
The coalition will be serving more than one million meals nationwide over the next six weeks and is seeking extra funding to add an extra 15,000 meals a day beyond that period.
