SWEEPING closures of railway ticket offices are on the way, thanks to new government guidance, rail union TSSA warned today.
Under the guidance, even busy ticket offices could face the axe, the union said.
TSSA stressed that ticket offices played a vital role for passengers, providing advice and assistance, fulfilling security responsibilities and helping passengers who have a disability or limited mobility.
