Nottingham tram workers balloting for strikes after bosses plan to slash terminally ill workers' pay
HUNDREDS of workers on Nottingham’s tram network began balloting for industrial action today after bosses announced plans to slash the pay of two terminally ill colleagues.
Transport union GMB accused Keolis, the firm responsible for the city’s tram system, of showing a “shocking lack of respect” for the workers despite their long and dedicated service.
RAF veteran Robert Currie and popular employee David Brown now face the “double threat of life-threatening sickness and a massive loss of earnings,” the union charged.
