Offshore workers to stage 48-hour strike in dispute over pay

MORE than 1,300 offshore workers are to stage a 48-hour strike in a dispute over pay.

The Unite union warned that dozens of oil and gas platforms will be brought to a “standstill” by the walkout from April 24.

Unite has previously warned of a “tsunami” of industrial unrest in the offshore sector over pay and conditions.
