Outsourced GOSH security guards strike postponed following 11th-hour deal
OUTSOURCED security guards at Great Ormond Street Hospital have postponed a planned strike over racial justice after their union said bosses are considering improvements to terms and conditions.
An 11th-hour meeting of workers on Tuesday evening decided to give management at the London-based children’s hospital “one last chance,” United Voices of the World said.
However, the union warned that if no concrete proposals are made, a planned six-week strike, which could become the longest in NHS history, will begin on February 3.
