The Star is proud to be the paper of the Scottish labour movement

THIS is the first of two Scotland editions of the Morning Star to coincide with Scottish Labour conference – following the success of our pilot Scotland edition back in November, which we published on the day of the anti-racism march in Glasgow.

The Morning Star is proud to be the paper of the labour movement – and indeed, now the preferred daily read of both British and Scottish Labour leaders.

Just this week, shopworkers’ union Usdaw became the tenth national trade union to join the paper’s management committee.

Inside your paper today you’ll find exclusive news stories previewing the Scottish Labour conference and agenda-setting comment from Scottish figures paving the way for real change.

The Star will also be hosting speakers including Danielle Rowley MP, trailblazing journalists Eve Livingston and David Jamieson and Unite Scotland’s John Gillespie at our Scottish Labour fringe meeting, tomorrow at 5pm in Dundee’s Apex Hotel.

But the Morning Star could not exist without the support of our readers and the labour movement. Producing Scotland editions and covering conferences like this one come at significant additional costs – so please consider subscribing, taking out an ad or donating to the Fighting Fund.

And if you’re in Dundee, have a great conference.
