Tory back-bench peers threaten to scupper new sexual harassment laws

THE government has been urged not turn its back on new sexual harassment laws that face being scuppered by back-bench Tory peers.

Ministers have vowed to support the private member’s worker protection Bill that will introduce a new duty on bosses to prevent sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace.

The proposed Bill would also require employers to prevent harassment from customers and clients.
