Train drivers launch another six-day overtime ban as long-running dispute continues

AUSTERITY-HIT train drivers represented by the Aslef union launched another week of industrial action today in a long-running dispute over pay, jobs and conditions.
A six-day overtime ban will take place at 15 train companies in England until Saturday, the union confirmed.
The latest action short of a strike, which follows similar walkouts over the last year, will have a big impact on services as rail bosses rarely hire enough drivers to cover timetables and so are reliant on overtime work.
