TRAIN drivers are to resume their long-running campaign of strikes over plummeting take-home pay next month, it emerged yesterday.

Workers at 12 train operators will reportedly walk out on October 1 and 5, according to LNER, one of the companies affected.

Train drivers’ union Aslef will not make any public comment until after the Queen’s funeral on Monday, but LNER managing director David Horne tweeted that the firm had already suspended ticket sales for those dates.
