TSSA and GMB unions in talks over merger

TALKS are to be held over a merger between the GMB union and Transport Salaried Staffs Association.

The two unions issued a joint statement saying that their executive committees had met to discuss the move and agreed that talks should begin.

The statement said: “In response to challenges to membership levels and financial shortfalls, TSSA has contacted GMB to seek a suitable merger partner.
