Welsh government grants £10m boost to scientific research

WELSH science has been given a £10 million boost today for the Ser Cymru research programme.

Economy Minister Vaughan Gething announced the new funding for the next two years to build a “strong and dynamic” scientific research base in the country.

Chief scientific adviser for Wales professor Jas Pal Badyal said: “Ser Cymru aims to continue to promote and support the delivery of world-leading, high-impact scientific research across Wales.
