Workers at Gatwick airport suspend upcoming strikes while balloting on new pay offers

STRIKES by workers at Gatwick airport have been suspended, with union members either accepting or being balloted on new pay offers, their union announced today.

Unite said that planned strikes by DHL workers have been cancelled completely after they voted to accept a 15 per cent pay rise.

General secretary Sharon Graham said: “This is an excellent result secured by the steadfast position of our DHL members.
