#HackneyIsHome
Home and migration the focus of innovative artworks by young people in the London borough
BELONGING: Four of the #HackneyIsHome digital canvases [#HackneyIsHome/Autograph]

THE EVER-ENTERPRISING arts and photography gallery Autograph, joining forces with youth media organisation Mouth That Roars, is beating the lockdown closures by taking the exhibition #HackneyIsHome onto the streets.

Locating it at one of the biggest traffic hubs in east London, illuminated works by young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds are being broadcast on the Old Street Digital Canvas until April 17.

Both organisations have provided workshops, training and a creative media qualification for eight young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, who’ve worked with artists and film-makers on how to tell stories, create powerful images and raise awareness of important social issues.
