Instinct insists, in birch & iris,
distilling light in milky tints.
Instinct insists, this spring,
in child, in kinship.
Instinct inhibits insight,
dismissing pity.
Quisling linchpin,
his wits hiss, lips fizzing,
inflicting kicks.
His illicit grip is firing
in-fighting, his might
dims his glib king.
Think: crisis timing.
If his instinct risks killing –
indict him, his script,
his ‘instinct.’
