Car park attendants strike over poor pay in Glasgow
CAR PARK attendants in Glasgow began two days of strike action today as workers across Scottish local government fight for better pay.
The walkout by members of Glasgow GMB is the first in what looks set to be a series by trade unions in the sector as they challenge the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (Cosla) pay offer.
Cosla argue their offer will provide an uplift of 5.5 per cent for the average council worker.
