Tottenham 1-2 Liverpool

LIVERPOOL have produced some encouraging performances of late, but nowhere near enough results. That will make them chuffed then that they were able to soak up all the pressure Tottenham threw at them and still head back up north with all three points. Spurs could do little more here but fell to a 2–1 defeat.
Tottenham last beat Liverpool in the Premier League in October 2017. The Reds may have lost to Nottingham Forest and Leeds in their last two league outings, but this is a match they’re always up for.
Liverpool were barely in possession in the opening exchanges, yet they made the ideal start when Mohamed Salah found the corner in the 11th minute. Darwin Nunez was full of running all evening and he spread wide to Andy Robertson before receiving the Scot’s cross after darting into the box. Nunez fed Salah, who angled home with a smart downward volley. First blood to the Reds.
