Dirty Duterte: murdered mayor was probably pushing pills

PHILIPPINES President Rodrigo Duterte claimed that a mayor assassinated on Monday was probably into illegal drugs.

Antonio Halili was singing the national anthem at a flag-raising ceremony outside the Tanauan local government building when a single gunshot was heard as the mayor was shot in the chest.

A few hours later, Mr Duterte said: “I suspect he was into drugs. I just suspect.”
