RESIDENTS of the occupied Golan Heights staged a general strike today in protest at Israel’s annexation of the territory and its administration of local elections.
The strike was observed in the villages of Majdal Shams, Boqatha, Mas’ada, and Ain Qania, where there were large anti-Israeli protests throughout October as many people pledged their allegiance to their “homeland of Syria.”
