Dundee Bus strike suspended after employers propose ‘improved offer’

DUNDEE’S bus strike has been suspended after the employer proposed an “improved offer.”

On Monday, hundreds of bus workers – including drivers, duty managers, and administrative staff – began a 12-week all-out strike at Xplore Dundee/McGill’s Buses to achieve better terms and conditions at the private monopoly.

Unite negotiators had called last-minute Acas talks last Friday a “smokescreen” when the employer failed to improve on the 7 per cent pay offer already rejected by the workers.
