Education unions call on government to formally publish leaked recommendation on teachers' pay

EDUCATION unions have written to the government calling for a leaked recommendation on pay to be formally published.

In a letter to Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, they said negotiations over the long-running pay and funding dispute should “urgently restart.”

The School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB) has reportedly recommended to ministers that a pay rise of 6.5 per cent should be awarded.
