CITY of Liverpool FC begin their 2021-22 season on Saturday with a Northern Premier League West fixture against Ramsbottom United.

It will be the Purps’ first competitive game since Boxing Day 2020 after last season was curtailed and the previous season abandoned.

The value of grassroots and non-league football has never been so apparent as during the past year.
