Pete Stevenson, otherwise known as Pete the Poet, an anti-war activist for over 40 years, has embarked upon a national tour in support of the Stop the War Coalition to raise awareness of the dangers of the British bombing campaigns in the Middle East, the need for peace in Palestine and the policy of British companies selling arms to Saudi Arabia to use on the innocent peoples of Yemen.
His aim is to visit 10 venues in 12 months and so far he has appeared in Watchet in Somerset, London, Bristol and he is now planning an event at the Bolton Socialist Club.
His high octane performance poetry is always well received but he likes to reach out to others within a locality to put on an inclusive show full of variety and energy.
