Glasgow bus workers overwhelmingly back strike action

MORE than 150 workers at First Bus Glasgow have overwhelmingly backed strike action after rejecting the multinational’s latest pay offer.

A near-unanimous 96 per cent of Unite members at First Glasgow (No1) voted to strike, while 100 per cent of their comrades in First Glasgow (No2) voted to join them.

Workers and their union argue the offer of around 13 per cent does not reflect company profitability as the two departments made a combined £4 million last year.
