GMB denounce ‘racist, cowardly and dangerous’ Rwanda policy

THE Tory government’s Rwanda policy is “racist, cowardly and dangerous,” GMB union members warned today.

Addressing delegates at the general union’s annual conference in Harrogate, member Una Byrne said plans to deport refugees arriving in Britain via “irregular routes” are a “disgraceful violent expression of white supremacy and class oppression.”

Her comments came during a debate on an emergency motion condemning the policy, which was passed unanimously.
