VILLAGERS in Greysteel celebrated Halloween today for the first time since a loyalist terror attack on a pub 25 years ago in which eight people were killed.
For years the tight-knit community of the Derry village had found it too painful to mark the date after the brutal murders when gunmen opened fire on a Halloween party in the Rising Sun pub.
However, children celebrated today with pumpkins and the pub will host a “talent show and disco” over the weekend.
