‘Red wall’ billboards demand MPs vote against ‘toxic’ NHS privatisation bill
Unite calls on northern Tories to side with patients not privateers
UNITE’S “red wall” billboard campaign will put Tory MPs under yet more pressure to side with patients over privateers and vote against the “toxic NHS privatisation” Bill, the union says.
Since today, billboards, ad vans and bus stops are carrying direct messages to people in constituencies in England where their Tory MP voted for the Health & Care Bill in the Commons last year.
Parliamentary seats in Labour’s former strongholds in the Midlands and northern England have some of the longest NHS waiting times and unmet health needs, the union highlighted.
