Fascists arrested in Manchester as anti-racists mobilise twice their numbers

AT LEAST two fascists were arrested during a Manchester rally by the far-right Football Lads Alliance (FLA) on Saturday.

The hooligan organisation attempted to exploit the first anniversary of the Manchester Arena terrorist bombing, which killed 22 people, including many youngsters, at a pop concert on May 22 last year.

The FLA managed to muster 200 to 300 supporters at Saturday’s rally, while a counterdemonstration organised by Unite Against Fascism (UAF) and Stand Up to Racism (SUTR) attracted 600 anti-fascists.
