Welsh nationalists force Senedd to vote on funding of HS2 high speed rail link
WELSH nationalists are due to force a vote in the Senedd on Wednesday on full consequential funding of the HS2 high speed rail link.
The assembly will debate and vote on a Plaid Cymru motion calling on the Welsh Labour government to support the redesignation of HS2 from London to Birmingham as an England-only project.
This would entitle Wales to consequential funding for its own infrastructure projects, with the motion calling on the Welsh government to seek appropriate redress from Westminster.
