THE government’s continued failure to appoint a third Grenfell inquiry panellist is placing the process in jeopardy, survivors of the fire warned yesterday.
In a letter to the Cabinet Office, Grenfell United said it was imperative for the position, which is intended to bring community relations and social housing expertise to the inquiry, to be filled before the landlord of the tower gives evidence in the coming weeks.
The survivors’ group said it believed that evidence from Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO) would “bring to light their shocking duty of care to residents in Grenfell Tower.”
