NEU members vote to accept 6.5 per cent rise, securing highest pay award in over 30 years

MEMBERS of Britain’s biggest teaching union have voted overwhelmingly to accept a 6.5 per cent pay rise after taking eight days of strike action.

The National Education Union (NEU) ballot endorsed the offer, which was recommended by the School Teachers Review Body (STRB).

At first, the government said that it would not accept the recommendation.
