Potter’s reign ramps up a notch as Chelsea outclass AC Milan

THE history books will politely correct him, but Graham Potter will look back in years to come and call this thrashing of AC Milan the true beginning of his Chelsea reign.

It was an emphatic Champions League win best summed up by the first of the Blues’ three goals.

Ben Chilwell put the ball down by the corner flag, preparing to take Chelsea’s third corner in quick succession. Suddenly there was a raucous jeer from the baying Rossoneri fans gazing down on him. Chelsea supporters nearby replied with jeers for Milan’s and cheers for Chilwell.
