PFA chief to ask trade unions to support equal rights call for female players
CEO of the Professional Footballers Association Maheta Molango

BRITAIN’S trade unions will be asked on Tuesday to support a call for female footballers to be given rights and conditions equal to their male counterparts.

Professional Footballers Association (PFA) chief executive Maheta Molango will make the call at the Trades Union Congress (TUC), a move which has the support of England stars Katie Zelem and Lucy Bronze.

An independent review of the English domestic game, led by former England international Karen Carney and published in July, called for the Women’s Super League and the Championship to be fully professional environments.
