WEST HAM enjoyed a relatively successful transition season under experienced veteran Manuel Pellegrini who led an, at times, injured cropped squad to a top-half finish. 

Furthermore, Pellegrini achieved this with the chaos caused by want-away striker Marko Arnautovic, who had understandably been distracted by the lure of Chinese money. 

The striker, who would eventually stay, did not score from January onwards and now seems to be looking for another move away from the club.
