WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Holders Chelsea clinched an FA Cup quarter-final spot with a routine win against Arsenal at Kingsmeadow yesterday with goals from Sophie Ingle and Sam Kerr.

In the other fifth-round games, Manchester’s teams both won convincingly: City thrashed Bristol City 8-1, United beat Durham 5-0. 

Lewes saw off Cardiff 6-1 and Brighton banged in five against Coventry United.
