ABUSE against shopworkers by customers has doubled since the coronavirus outbreak began, a survey has found.
The findings came from shopworkers’ union Usdaw, which carried out a survey after the initial spate of panic-buying stripped supermarket shelves.
A huge 70 per cent of the 7,357 shopworkers quizzed also said that they suffered continuing anxiety.
