The Scots hammered Uganda by 109 runs in their first Group A match while Sri Lanka eased past Thailand by 67 runs.

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Chelsea take a slim 1-0 advantage into tomorrow evening’s second leg of their Champions League semi-final against holders Barcelona at Stamford Bridge.

The Catalan giants won 1-0 in London at the same stage of the last year’s competition.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Solihull Moors, who saw off Halifax 4-2 in their midweek eliminator, travel to Barnet on Saturday evening for the first National League promotion play-off semi-final.

Barnet finished second behind champions and already promoted Chesterfield in the regular season, 10 points ahead of fifth-placed Solihull. Bromley face Altrincham in the second semi-final on Sunday afternoon with the final set for Wembley on May 5.
