NETBALL: Super League’s regular season ends tomorrow evening with champions Manchester making the short trip across the Pennines to face Leeds. Elsewhere tonight Loughborough will aim to seal second place, and a home semi final play-off, when they face the Severn Stars. Third-placed London Pulse are at Saracens, Strathclyde take on Surrey, who have already bagged the fourth play-off spot, and Cardiff play bottom club Team Bath.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Drogheda will be bottom of the League of Ireland during its two week mid-season break after they lost 3-0 in Galway and fellow strugglers Dundalk edged out Sligo 1-0. Table-topping Shelbourne won 1-0 in Waterford, substitute Danny Mullen’s injury time winner sealed second-placed Derry’s 2-1 victory at Bohemians and St Patrick’s also left it late to squeeze past defending champions Shamrock Rovers by the same score.

SPEEDWAY: Premiership leaders Ipswich Witches endured a frustrating Thursday evening when their meeting at Oxford was abandoned due to persistent rain with them leading by 10 points after six heats. No match points are awarded unless 10 heats have been finished and the meeting will have to be rerun. Ipswich next race in five days when they host Leicester, whose fixture at King’s Lynn was also postponed on Thursday.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Defending champions Munster host Glasgow in tomorrow evening’s United Rugby Championship (URC) semi final clash. Munster are unbeaten in four previous URC semi finals at Thomond Park while Glasgow have lost all five of the semis they have played away. Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw is due to make his 100th URC appearance when Leinster travel to Pretoria to face the Bulls in the other last four tie.
