MEN’S CRICKET: Co-hosts the West Indies and the United States are looking for their first win in the Twenty20 World Cup super eights as they meet in Barbados tomorrow morning.

Bangladesh will be aiming to recover from their Duckworth Lewis Stern defeat to Australia when they take on India in Antigua tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow’s fixtures see Afghanistan playing Australia in St Vincent and England up against the US.

SPEEDWAY: Emil Sayfutdinov top scored with 11+2 points and Danny King bagged nine from four heats on his return from injury as Premiership leaders Ipswich maintained their 100 per cent home record by trouncing Leicester 60-30.

Elsewhere on Thursday night Chris Holder claimed 13 points as second-placed Sheffield led from the first tape to brush aside Belle Vue 54-36 despite Dan Bewley grabbing 16 points for the visitors.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: The summer international season kicks off this morning with Japan hosting England before an inexperienced Wales face world champions South Africa at Twickenham.

Fiji also play the Barbarians at Twickenham while an under-strength French team take on a World XV in Bilbao.

Wales have added ex-rugby league player Regan Grace to their injury-hit squad despite him not having played a competitive game since he signed for Bath in 2022.

NETBALL: Regular season table-toppers Manchester Thunder face the Severn Stars in the first Super League play-off semi-final on Saturday afternoon.

Reigning champions Loughborough Lightning have home court advantage against last year’s runners-up London Pulse in the other last-four tie.

The final and third/fourth game will take place next weekend. Neither London nor the Severn Stars have previously won a Grand Final.
