Thousands of Uber drivers get pay rise after union negotiations

THOUSANDS of Uber drivers are set for a pay rise following successful GMB negotiations, the union said today.

GMB and Uber, which signed a groundbreaking recognition deal after the union won a landmark court case to categorise the drivers as workers, have agreed a pay deal that covers up to 70,000 drivers in Britain.

The union says that the drivers are now set for increased earnings, linked to fare rises, following the successful negotiations.
