THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION has reached an out-of-court settlement with pharmaceutical giant Astra Zeneca over supply of Covid-19 vaccines, the body announced on Friday.
It is hoped that the agreement will help the European Union speed up its sluggish vaccination rollout programme.
Astra Zeneca has promised delivery of 60 million doses by the end of the third quarter this year, 75 million by the end of the fourth quarter and 65 million by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
