Bill Clinton to co-host event on empowering women despite accusations of rape and sexual assault

UNITED STATES Vice-President Kamala Harris will host an event on empowering women with former president Bill Clinton despite his association with Jeffrey Epstein and accusations of rape and sexual assault.

Mr Clinton has faced allegations from multiple women spanning decades. He was also a close associate of convicted paedophile and sex-trafficking billionaire Epstein.

The former US leader has remained largely silent regarding the flights that he took on Epstein’s private jet, which reportedly offered passengers young girls for sex.

In January 2020, the US Sun newspaper published an article that showed a photo of Mr Clinton standing on the plane with Chauntae Davies, who has claimed to be a young “sex slave.”

Additional photos of the then-president with Epstein’s victims, including one of Mr Clinton receiving a shoulder rub, have since been leaked.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) event on Friday will feature Mr Clinton and Ms Harris and will focus on the challenges that women have faced during the coronavirus pandemic, and how to empower women throughout the world.
