THE EU must urgently increase its own vaccine production, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said ahead of an EU summit today.
EU leaders met virtually to address a stalling vaccination process and a shortage of vaccines. Less than 5 per cent of EU residents have been fully vaccinated so far.
“We can see clearly that British facilities are producing for Great Britain. The United States isn’t exporting, therefore we are dependent on what can be produced in Europe,” Ms Merkel said.
