West Ham 3-2 Notts Forest

West Ham United's Tomas Soucek celebrates after scoring their sides third goal during the Premier League match at the London Stadium, London, November 12, 2023

WEST HAM made hard work of this game but held on to take the points from Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium.

It was essentially a game of two players for West Ham — the flamboyant and often frustrating Lucas Paqueta and the tidier, more reliable James Ward-Prowse. Between them they conjured all three West Ham goals.

Paqueta opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, picking up a misplaced pass from Nicolas Dominguez, then firing home from just outside the area.
