PAKISTAN: Police in the eastern city of Sargodha have arrested more than 100 Muslim men for attacking a Christian father and son for allegedly desecrating the Koran, officials said today.

The mob went on a rampage on Saturday after locals said they saw burnt pages of the Islamic holy book outside the men’s house and accused the son of being behind it, setting their house and shoe factory on fire, said police. They also attacked the son.

The two wounded men were taken to hospital.
