UCU to demonstrate outside the Welsh parliament demanding better funding
The sign for the Senedd, the Welsh parliament building in Cardiff

THE University and College Union is demonstrating outside the Senedd tomorrow to demand better funding of courses in Wales.

The rally was planned before last week’s announcement that four departments at Cardiff University are to be axed, with the loss of 400 jobs.

The UCU is urging members and trade unionists to gather in Cardiff Bay from 12.30 to 1.30pm.
