Liverpool museum workers announce fresh round of strikes
STAFF at the National Museums Liverpool (NML) have announced a series of fresh strike dates as their eight weeks of industrial action comes to an end tomorrow.
Gallery and museum workers across seven sites will walk out for a further 30 days in their dispute over bosses’ failure to make a cost-of-living payment.
Staff took part in strikes called by the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) last April, as did 130,000 staff in the civil and public sector, who won a pay rise of at least 4.5 per cent and the promise of a £1,500 cost-of-living payment.
